A flaw was found in glibc. In an extremely rare situation, the getaddrinfo function may access memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when a NSS module implements only the _nss_*_gethostbyname2_r and _nss_*_getcanonname_r hooks without implementing the _nss_*_gethostbyname3_r hook. The resolved name should return a large number of IPv6 and IPv4, and the call to the getaddrinfo function should have the AF_INET6 address family with AI_CANONNAME, AI_ALL and AI_V4MAPPED as flags.
CVE-2023-42753 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 9 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-15 | 7 High |
An array indexing vulnerability was found in the netfilter subsystem of the Linux kernel. A missing macro could lead to a miscalculation of the `h->nets` array offset, providing attackers with the primitive to arbitrarily increment/decrement a memory buffer out-of-bound. This issue may allow a local user to crash the system or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-5178 | 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat | 10 Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager, Solidfire \& Hci Management Node and 7 more | 2024-11-15 | 8.8 High |
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in drivers/nvme/target/tcp.c` in `nvmet_tcp_free_crypto` due to a logical bug in the NVMe/TCP subsystem in the Linux kernel. This issue may allow a malicious user to cause a use-after-free and double-free problem, which may permit remote code execution or lead to local privilege escalation.
CVE-2023-4732 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 12 Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder, Codeready Linux Builder For Arm64 and 9 more | 2024-11-15 | 4.7 Medium |
A flaw was found in pfn_swap_entry_to_page in memory management subsystem in the Linux Kernel. In this flaw, an attacker with a local user privilege may cause a denial of service problem due to a BUG statement referencing pmd_t x.
CVE-2023-4132 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more | 2024-11-15 | 5.5 Medium |
A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the siano smsusb module in the Linux kernel. The bug occurs during device initialization when the siano device is plugged in. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system, causing a denial of service condition.
CVE-2023-4004 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 10 more | 2024-11-15 | 7.8 High |
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel's netfilter in the way a user triggers the nft_pipapo_remove function with the element, without a NFT_SET_EXT_KEY_END. This issue could allow a local user to crash the system or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-3812 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 7 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2024-11-15 | 7.8 High |
An out-of-bounds memory access flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s TUN/TAP device driver functionality in how a user generates a malicious (too big) networking packet when napi frags is enabled. This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-3772 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more | 2024-11-15 | 5.5 Medium |
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s IP framework for transforming packets (XFRM subsystem). This issue may allow a malicious user with CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to directly dereference a NULL pointer in xfrm_update_ae_params(), leading to a possible kernel crash and denial of service.
CVE-2023-3567 | 3 Canonical, Linux, Redhat | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2024-11-15 | 7.1 High |
A use-after-free flaw was found in vcs_read in drivers/tty/vt/vc_screen.c in vc_screen in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow an attacker with local user access to cause a system crash or leak internal kernel information.
CVE-2024-0646 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 8 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Logging and 5 more | 2024-11-15 | 7 High |
An out-of-bounds memory write flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Transport Layer Security functionality in how a user calls a function splice with a ktls socket as the destination. This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2024-0565 | 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Ontap Tools, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2024-11-15 | 6.8 Medium |
An out-of-bounds memory read flaw was found in receive_encrypted_standard in fs/smb/client/smb2ops.c in the SMB Client sub-component in the Linux Kernel. This issue occurs due to integer underflow on the memcpy length, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2024-2961 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 9 Glibc, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 6 more | 2024-11-15 | 7.3 High |
The iconv() function in the GNU C Library versions 2.39 and older may overflow the output buffer passed to it by up to 4 bytes when converting strings to the ISO-2022-CN-EXT character set, which may be used to crash an application or overwrite a neighbouring variable.
CVE-2023-6610 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Logging and 2 more | 2024-11-15 | 7.1 High |
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in smb2_dump_detail in fs/smb/client/smb2ops.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue could allow a local attacker to crash the system or leak internal kernel information.

A race condition was found in the GSM 0710 tty multiplexor in the Linux kernel. This issue occurs when two threads execute the GSMIOC_SETCONF ioctl on the same tty file descriptor with the gsm line discipline enabled, and can lead to a use-after-free problem on a struct gsm_dlci while restarting the gsm mux. This could allow a local unprivileged user to escalate their privileges on the system.
