| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cachestat: fix page cache statistics permission checking
When the 'cachestat()' system call was added in commit cf264e1329fb
("cachestat: implement cachestat syscall"), it was meant to be a much
more convenient (and performant) version of mincore() that didn't need
mapping things into the user virtual address space in order to work.
But it ended up missing the "check for writability or ownership" fix for
mincore(), done in commit 134fca9063ad ("mm/mincore.c: make mincore()
more conservative").
This just adds equivalent logic to 'cachestat()', modified for the file
context (rather than vma). |

| Multiple vulnerabilities in Cisco IOS XE Software of could allow an authenticated, local attacker with level-15 privileges or an unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the device to execute persistent code at boot time and break the chain of trust.
These vulnerabilities are due path traversal and improper image integrity validation. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute persistent code on the underlying operating system.
Because this allows the attacker to bypass a major security feature of the device, Cisco has raised the Security Impact Rating (SIR) of this advisory from Medium to High.

| Newforma Info Exchange (NIX) '/UserWeb/Common/MarkupServices.ashx' 'StreamStampImage' accepts an encrypted file path and returns an image of the specified file. An authenticated attacker can read arbitrary files subject to the privileges of NIX, typically 'NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService', and the ability of StreamStampImage to process the file. The encrypted file path can be generated using the shared, hard-coded secret key described in CVE-2025-35052. This vulnerability cannot be exploited as an 'anonymous' user as described in CVE-2025-35062. |
| The 'zipfile' module would not check the validity of the ZIP64 End of
Central Directory (EOCD) Locator record offset value would not be used to
locate the ZIP64 EOCD record, instead the ZIP64 EOCD record would be
assumed to be the previous record in the ZIP archive. This could be abused
to create ZIP archives that are handled differently by the 'zipfile' module
compared to other ZIP implementations.
Remediation maintains this behavior, but checks that the offset specified
in the ZIP64 EOCD Locator record matches the expected value. |
