Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Standard XPS allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Standard XPS allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
An issue was discovered in matio 1.5.28. A heap-based memory corruption can occur in Mat_VarCreateStruct() when the nfields value does not match the actual number of strings in the fields array. This leads to out-of-bounds reads and invalid memory frees during cleanup, potentially causing a segmentation fault or heap corruption. NOTE: Multiple third-parties note that the available evidence does not demonstrate a vulnerability exploitable through an attacker-controlled input path.
A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in rpm. RPMTAG_FILESIGNATURES in a crafted, unsigned RPM package's main header is declared with the wrong header type, causing hex2binv() to allocate a one-byte buffer and then write the tag's attacker-controlled, hex-decoded content — of attacker-chosen length — past the end of that allocation. This is reachable via rpm2cpio, rpm2archive, and rpm -qlvp on an untrusted package.
A vulnerability was identified in Artifex Ghostscript up to 10.09.0. Affected is the function type1_callsubr of the file devices/vector/gdevpsfx.c of the component Pdfwrite. The manipulation leads to stack-based buffer overflow. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. It is suggested to install a patch to address this issue. A solution was implemented: "I've chosen to fix this slightly differently by using the defined macro in the font parsing loop rather than in the callsubr function, because this better matches the pattern of 'normal' usage."
Heap-based buffer overflow in Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, FW1060.00 through FW1060.81, and FW950.00 through FW950.H3 is affected by a vulnerability in the RTAS firmware-to-OS interface. An attacker with administrator-level (root) access to a logical partition can send a specially crafted request to partition firmware, causing the partition to crash and become unavailable. Other partitions on the same managed system are not affected.
IBM OPENBMC FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, and FW1060.00 through FW1060.81 is affected by a vulnerability in the BMC firmware management interface. The host system can cause the BMC firmware management service to crash or allow a limited amount of BMC internal memory to be read, resulting in a confidentiality and availability impact to the managed system.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the spamBlocker (spamd) service of WatchGuard Fireware OS allows an authenticated attacker with administrator privileges to crash the service or potentially execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted management request.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in WatchGuard Fireware OS's DHCP fingerprinting daemon (fingerd) allows an unauthenticated attacker with adjacent network access to execute arbitrary code or crash the process by sending a specially crafted DHCP packet.
Buffer overflow in Video in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
TeamViewer Full Client and Host for Linux and macOS prior version 15.82 contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the processing of .tvs session recording files. A size mismatch during decompression of recorded session data can result in out-of-bounds heap writes. By convincing a user to open a specially crafted session recording through the "Play or convert recorded session…" feature, an attacker may achieve arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the current user
| The CoAP link-format helper match_path_uri() in subsys/net/lib/coap/coap_link_format.c compares a registered resource path against the URI carried in a Uri-Query href= option. That URI is not NUL terminated, but the inner character loop advanced its index k once per path character without ever testing it against the option length len. When a registered path segment is longer than the supplied URI and the URI is a prefix of it, the loop reads uri[len] and beyond, past the end of the option value.
The path is reached from coap_well_known_core_get_len() and coap_well_known_core_get() via match_queries_resource(), i.e. by any unauthenticated GET /.well-known/core?href=/<prefix> request to a device that serves /.well-known/core (for the CoAP server subsystem, CONFIG_COAP_SERVER_WELL_KNOWN_CORE, default y) and has at least one resource that declares struct coap_core_metadata attributes.
The over-read does not reach the receive buffer. The well-known-core builders parse the query into a stack-local struct coap_option, whose value is a fixed array (value[12], or CONFIG_COAP_EXTENDED_OPTIONS_LEN_VALUE bytes) that the option bytes are copied into, so uri points into that copy. Reading past len therefore reads the unused, uninitialized tail of the array and, when the option fills it, the bytes just past it in the same stack frame. (In the ZoAP library of v1.8.0 to v1.9.x the option value was instead a pointer into the received packet, and the over-read ran past the option inside the packet buffer.)
The impact is bounded. The number of bytes read past the end is limited by the length of the resource path segment, and each additional byte is only read if it happens to equal the next path character, so in practice the over-read is one byte. It also cannot influence the response: returning a match requires the final compared index to be len - 1 or len, both in bounds, so out-of-bounds bytes only ever steer the loop to the next candidate resource. The consequence is undefined behaviour, not information disclosure and not a matching error.
The fix adds a k >= len guard at the top of the inner loop, so every uri[k] dereference is within the option value while still allowing a trailing * wildcard to match a longer path. |
IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, FW1060.00 through FW1060.81, and FW950.00 through FW950.H3 could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information due to an out-of-bounds read.
Out of bounds read in WebGL in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.92 allowed a remote attacker to read memory outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
IBM Server Firmware FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, FW1060.00 through FW1060.81, and FW950.00 through FW950.H3 is affected by a vulnerability in the ASMI web interface. An unauthenticated attacker on the management network can send a malformed HTTPS request to ASMI, causing the web server to crash with possible memory corruption and generate an error log. The ASMI web interface will restart automatically; however, repeated exploitation could result in a sustained loss of access to the ASMI management interface, resulting in an integrity and availability impact.
| Integer Overflow, Improper Validation of Array Index, Uncontrolled Recursion and Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value in the Go implementation of Apache PLC4X (PLC4Go) allow a malicious device, or an attacker able to inject network traffic, to crash or exhaust the memory of the client application,
causing a denial of service.
The individual defects are:
- Generated parsers pre-allocate arrays with the element count claimed on the wire (0.13.0 through 0.13.1).
- Transport read helpers allocate buffers of the size claimed on the wire without an upper bound.
- ADS and KNXnet/IP response handling indexes into received data without checking its length, causing a panic.
- ADS and EIP frame-length handling accepts, or arithmetically wraps to, a length of zero, breaking message framing.
- Recursive protocol types are parsed without a nesting-depth limit. The same defect in the Java implementation is covered by CVE-2026-102509 https://cveprocess.apache.org/cve5/CVE-2026-102509 .
Additionally, length and position arithmetic in generated serializers was performed in 16-bit integers. If an application forwards attacker-influenced payloads larger than 8 KB, the length field wraps, and the remainder of the payload may be interpreted by the receiving device (for example, an ADS PLC) as
additional, independent protocol messages.
This issue affects Apache PLC4X: from 0.11.0 before 1.0.0. PLC4Go is consumed as the Go module github.com/apache/plc4x/plc4go; versions refer to the corresponding Apache PLC4X releases.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.0.0, which fixes the issue. |
vLLM before 0.29.0 accepts user-controlled stop_token_ids on the OpenAI-compatible POST /v1/completions and POST /v1/chat/completions endpoints but validates only that the values are integers, not that each token id is within the model vocabulary/logits range. When min_tokens > 0, the stop token ids are used as logits indices to suppress stop tokens, so an out-of-range id reaches a CUDA indexing operation (index_put_) and triggers a device-side assertion. An authenticated API user can send a single malformed completion request that returns 500 Internal Server Error and puts EngineCore into a fatal state, causing subsequent requests to fail until the service is restarted (denial of service).
Buffer overflow in Tint in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
