CVSS v3.1 |
| jxl-oxide is a pure Rust implementation of a JPEG XL decoder. Prior to jxl-grid 0.6.2, decoding a crafted JPEG XL image on a 32-bit platform can overflow length calculations in AlignedGrid::with_alloc_tracker and related grid and subgrid arithmetic. A 65536 x 65536 frame can pass the frame-area limit while overflowing the usize element count, causing modular, VarDCT, or filter rendering paths to allocate a backing buffer smaller than the logical grid. A tiny bitstream-controlled cropped frame combined with a huge canvas or requested region can also reach the vulnerable composition path in crates/jxl-render/src/blend.rs through ordinary render_frame(). Later mutable subgrid and raw-pointer operations can then perform attacker-controlled out-of-bounds writes, causing memory corruption, denial of service, or arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in jxl-grid version 0.6.2. |
| Neo4j's Bolt modern handshake decoder treats an overlong capability bit mask the same way it treats a truncated bit mask. When an unauthenticated client sends a selected protocol version followed by 32 continuation bytes in the capability mask, the decoder resets the reader index and waits for more bytes instead of rejecting the protocol message and closing the channel.
Because the same unread bytes remain at the front of the decoder buffer, appending a terminating byte later does not recover the connection. The decoder re-reads the same first 32 continuation bytes, returns without producing a handshake-finalization message, and leaves the channel open.
This can be triggered before authentication by any client that can reach the Bolt connector. |
| Orval generates type-safe JavaScript clients in TypeScript from OpenAPI v3 and Swagger v2 specifications. Prior to 8.21.0, an unescaped backtick in servers[0].url is emitted into request URL template literals generated when output.baseUrl.getBaseUrlFromSpecification is enabled without safe encoding. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to be evaluated when a generated request or URL-builder function is called, resulting in code execution in the developer, CI, test, or application environment. The affected code is packages/core/src/getters/route.ts function getFullRoute. This issue is fixed in version 8.21.0. |
| Orval generates type-safe JavaScript clients in TypeScript from OpenAPI v3 and Swagger v2 specifications. Prior to 8.21.0, a ${...} expression or backtick in an enum default is emitted into a module-level template literal emitted by zod schema generation without safe encoding. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to be evaluated when the generated zod schema module is imported, resulting in code execution in the developer, CI, test, or application environment. The affected code is packages/zod/src/index.ts function formatDefaultValue. This issue is fixed in version 8.21.0. |
| Formie is a Craft CMS plugin for creating forms. Prior to 3.1.27, Formie can pass request-derived Hidden field defaults such as HTTP User Agent, Referer URL, Current URL, Current URL without Query String, Query Parameter, and Cookie Value to Craft's Twig rendering layer during front-end form rendering. An unauthenticated attacker can place Twig syntax in one of these request-controlled inputs when a public form contains an affected Hidden field. Hidden::getFrontEndInputOptions() then assigns the value to defaultValue and calls renderString, causing server-side template evaluation rather than treating the request data as a plain string. Depending on the Craft site configuration and available Twig capabilities, exploitation can disclose sensitive information, modify application state, or achieve remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.27. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pinctrl: devicetree: don't free uninitialized dev_name on error path
dt_remember_or_free_map() duplicates dev_name for each map entry. If
kstrdup_const() fails, dt_free_map() frees dev_name in all num_maps
entries, including entries that have not been initialized.
Some pinctrl drivers, including pinctrl-imx, allocate the map with
kmalloc() and leave dev_name for the core to initialize. The untouched
entries therefore contain uninitialized data which is passed to
kfree_const().
Reproduced on qemu's mcimx6ul-evk (pinctrl-imx) with failslab injection
while binding the pinctrl-consuming device, under KASAN:
BUG: KASAN: double-free in dt_free_map+0x34/0xa4
Free of addr c425a900 by task init/1
kfree from dt_free_map+0x34/0xa4
dt_free_map from dt_remember_or_free_map+0x184/0x198
dt_remember_or_free_map from pinctrl_dt_to_map+0x33c/0x4c8
pinctrl_dt_to_map from create_pinctrl+0x9c/0x5c0
Initialize all dev_name fields to NULL before duplicating the device
name, making the full-map cleanup safe after a partial failure. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: peak_usb: peak_usb_start(): fix double free of transfer buffer on URB submit error
In peak_usb_start(), each RX URB transfer buffer is allocated with kmalloc()
and the URB is flagged URB_FREE_BUFFER so that the final usb_free_urb() also
frees the transfer buffer.
If usb_submit_urb() fails, the error path frees the buffer explicitly with
kfree(buf) and then calls usb_free_urb(urb). Because URB_FREE_BUFFER is set,
usb_free_urb() -> urb_destroy() frees the same buffer a second time, a double
free of the transfer buffer.
BUG: KASAN: double-free in usb_free_urb.part.0+0x91/0xb0
Free of addr ffff8881069ccb80 by task trigger.sh/285
Call Trace:
kfree+0x113/0x3c0
usb_free_urb.part.0+0x91/0xb0
Drop the redundant kfree(buf); usb_free_urb() already releases the transfer
buffer. This mirrors commit 03819abbeb11 ("net: usb: lan78xx: Fix double free
issue with interrupt buffer allocation"). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: bcm: validate frame length in bcm_rx_setup() for RTR replies
bcm_tx_setup() validates cf->len against the CAN/CAN FD DLC limits
before installing frames for TX_SETUP, but bcm_rx_setup() never did
the same for the RTR-reply frame configured via RX_SETUP with
RX_RTR_FRAME. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: handle overlapping allocated ranges in fallocate
smb3_simple_fallocate_range() can skip holes when an allocated range
returned by the server starts before the current fallocate offset. The
skipped hole is not zero-filled, but fallocate still returns success. A
later write to that hole may therefore fail with ENOSPC.
The function queries allocated ranges so that it can preserve existing
contents and write zeroes only into holes. However, the server may return
a range that starts before the current fallocate offset.
For example, assume the fallocate request is [100, 400) and the only
allocated range returned by the server is [0, 200):
Request: [100, 400)
Server range: [ 0, 200) allocated
Correct:
[100, 200) allocated data, skip
[200, 400) hole, zero-fill
Current:
[100, 300) skipped
[300, 400) zero-filled afterwards
The current code adds the full server range length, 200, to the current
offset 100 and moves to 300. As a result, the hole in [200, 300) is
skipped without being zero-filled.
Fix this by advancing only over the part of the allocated range that
overlaps the current fallocate offset. Ignore ranges that end before the
current offset and reject ranges whose end offset overflows.
This also prevents a malformed range length from causing an out-of-bounds
zero-buffer read. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvmet-tcp: Fix potential UAF when ddgst mismatch
Shivam Kumar found via vulnerability testing:
When data digest is enabled on an NVMe/TCP connection and a digest
mismatch occurs on a non-final H2C_DATA PDU during an R2T-based
data transfer, the digest error handler in nvmet_tcp_try_recv_ddgst()
calls nvmet_req_uninit() — which performs percpu_ref_put() on the
submission queue — but does NOT mark the command as completed. It
does not set cqe->status, does not modify rbytes_done, and does not
clear any flag. When the subsequent fatal error triggers queue
teardown, nvmet_tcp_uninit_data_in_cmds() iterates all commands,
checks nvmet_tcp_need_data_in() for each one, and finds that the
already-uninited command still appears to need data (because
rbytes_done < transfer_len and cqe->status == 0). It therefore calls
nvmet_req_uninit() a second time on the same command — a double
percpu_ref_put against a single percpu_ref_get. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in sonos tract up to 0.23.4. This impacts the function Tensor::from_raw_dt_align of the file data/src/tensor.rs of the component ONNX Initializer Loader. Such manipulation leads to incorrect calculation of buffer size. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The name of the patch is 66b10bda8895f4bfaf8c205361f0125cdf51f99b. It is best practice to apply a patch to resolve this issue. |
| Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity vulnerability in the CSS scrubber in rrrene html_sanitize_ex allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust server CPU via a long CSS declaration in sanitized HTML. The declaration regex in HtmlSanitizeEx.Scrubber.CSS.scrub/1 matches the property name with an unbounded greedy [-\w]+ followed by a mandatory :, so a long run of word characters not followed by a colon makes the engine give back one character at a time and retry the colon at every start offset. The work is quadratic in the length of the run, and no length cap is applied to the CSS handed to the scrubber. An 80 KB <style> body costs roughly 2.4 seconds of scheduler time, so a few concurrent requests saturate the BEAM scheduler pool and make the application unresponsive.
The impact is CPU exhaustion only. Nothing is read, modified or disclosed.
This issue affects html_sanitize_ex: from 0.3.1 before 1.4.5 and from 1.5.0-rc.0 before 1.5.3. |
| Weak authentication in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an unauthorized attacker to bypass a security feature over a network. |
| JumpServer is an open source bastion host and an operation and maintenance security audit system. Prior to 4.10.17, an authenticated administrator with Applet Host management and deployment permissions can inject Jinja2 expressions into the IP/Host field or Core Service Address field, causing Ansible to evaluate ansible_host inventory data or playbook variables during Applet Host deployment and execute arbitrary commands on the JumpServer control node. This issue is fixed in version 4.10.17. |
| ERPNext is a free and open source Enterprise Resource Planning tool. Prior to 15.111.0 and 16.22.0, limited authenticated users can cross a permission boundary in Frappe safe execution because frappe.render_template is exposed without forcing restrict_globals, allowing server-side template injection and remote code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 15.111.0 and 16.22.0. |
| Attacker-controlled CSV samples can trigger super-linear
regular-expression work during dialect sniffing and consume significant
CPU when applications pass unbounded input to csv.Sniffer.sniff(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: reject undersized DACLs before parsing ACEs
parse_dacl() limits the attacker-controlled ACE count by comparing it
with the number of minimal ACEs that fit in the DACL size. The DACL size
field is 16 bits, but the expression subtracts sizeof(struct smb_acl).
Because sizeof() is unsigned, a DACL size smaller than the ACL header
underflows to a large size_t.
A malicious client can reach this with:
SMB2_SET_INFO (InfoType=SMB2_O_INFO_SECURITY)
-> smb2_set_info_sec()
-> set_info_sec()
-> parse_sec_desc()
-> parse_dacl()
-> init_acl_state(..., 0xffff)
-> init_acl_state(..., 0xffff)
-> kmalloc_objs(..., 0xffff)
Thus a malformed security descriptor can make num_aces pass the guard
and drive large temporary ACL state and pointer-array allocations.
Reject DACLs smaller than struct smb_acl before doing the subtraction,
so the ACE count check cannot be bypassed by the underflow. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: grow index root value before reparent header update
ntfs_ir_reparent() moves the resident index root entries into an index
block and leaves a small root stub containing the child VCN. That root
stub can be larger than the existing resident value. For example, an
empty root with value_length 48 has an index area of 32 bytes, while the
large-index root stub needs index_length and allocated_size of 40 bytes.
The current code publishes the larger index.index_length and
index.allocated_size before resizing the resident value. If the resize
returns -ENOSPC, the recovery path can call ntfs_inode_add_attrlist(),
which looks attributes up again while the root header says
allocated_size 40 but the resident value still only provides 32 bytes of
index area. Lookup-time $INDEX_ROOT validation then correctly rejects
that transient layout as corrupt.
This reproduces as a generic/013 failure under qemu. In the failing run,
the transient root had value_len=48, index_size=32, index_length=40, and
allocated_size=40, and ntfsprogs-plus ntfsck reported "Corrupt index
root in MFT record 1177".
When the root stub grows, resize the resident value before publishing the
larger root header. If the resize fails, the old root remains valid for
recovery lookups. Keep the existing header-before-resize ordering for
shrink or same-size cases so the resident value never temporarily
exposes an allocated_size beyond its bounds. |
| grav-plugin-api versions before 1.0.15 fail to validate Twig content in the translate() endpoint, allowing attackers with api.pages.write permission to persist pages with process.twig enabled. Attackers can submit crafted header and content parameters to execute server-side template injection payloads that are evaluated at render time. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm-ioctl: fix a possible overflow in list_version_get_info
sizeof(tt->version) is 12 bytes, but the code writes 16 bytes into the
output buffer - info->vers->version[0], info->vers->version[1],
info->vers->version[2] and info->vers->next. This can cause buffer
overflow.
Fix this buffer overflow by replacing "sizeof(tt->version)" with
"sizeof(struct dm_target_versions)". |
