This patch fixes the issue by checking the bearer type before calling tipc_udp_nl_bearer_add() in tipc_nl_bearer_add().
CVE-2024-26659 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-05 | 4.1 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xhci: handle isoc Babble and Buffer Overrun events properly xHCI 4.9 explicitly forbids assuming that the xHC has released its ownership of a multi-TRB TD when it reports an error on one of the early TRBs. Yet the driver makes such assumption and releases the TD, allowing the remaining TRBs to be freed or overwritten by new TDs. The xHC should also report completion of the final TRB due to its IOC flag being set by us, regardless of prior errors. This event cannot be recognized if the TD has already been freed earlier, resulting in "Transfer event TRB DMA ptr not part of current TD" error message. Fix this by reusing the logic for processing isoc Transaction Errors. This also handles hosts which fail to report the final completion. Fix transfer length reporting on Babble errors. They may be caused by device malfunction, no guarantee that the buffer has been filled.

CVE-2024-26643 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2024-11-05 | 4.7 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: mark set as dead when unbinding anonymous set with timeout While the rhashtable set gc runs asynchronously, a race allows it to collect elements from anonymous sets with timeouts while it is being released from the commit path. Mingi Cho originally reported this issue in a different path in 6.1.x with a pipapo set with low timeouts which is not possible upstream since 7395dfacfff6 ("netfilter: nf_tables: use timestamp to check for set element timeout"). Fix this by setting on the dead flag for anonymous sets to skip async gc in this case. According to 08e4c8c5919f ("netfilter: nf_tables: mark newset as dead on transaction abort"), Florian plans to accelerate abort path by releasing objects via workqueue, therefore, this sets on the dead flag for abort path too.

CVE-2024-26586 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 7 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2024-11-05 | 6.7 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlxsw: spectrum_acl_tcam: Fix stack corruption When tc filters are first added to a net device, the corresponding local port gets bound to an ACL group in the device. The group contains a list of ACLs. In turn, each ACL points to a different TCAM region where the filters are stored. During forwarding, the ACLs are sequentially evaluated until a match is found. One reason to place filters in different regions is when they are added with decreasing priorities and in an alternating order so that two consecutive filters can never fit in the same region because of their key usage. In Spectrum-2 and newer ASICs the firmware started to report that the maximum number of ACLs in a group is more than 16, but the layout of the register that configures ACL groups (PAGT) was not updated to account for that. It is therefore possible to hit stack corruption [1] in the rare case where more than 16 ACLs in a group are required. Fix by limiting the maximum ACL group size to the minimum between what the firmware reports and the maximum ACLs that fit in the PAGT register. Add a test case to make sure the machine does not crash when this condition is hit. CVE-2024-26581 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2024-11-05 | 7.8 High |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_set_rbtree: skip end interval element from gc rbtree lazy gc on insert might collect an end interval element that has been just added in this transactions, skip end interval elements that are not yet active.
CVE-2024-47668 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-05 | 4.7 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib/generic-radix-tree.c: Fix rare race in __genradix_ptr_alloc() If we need to increase the tree depth, allocate a new node, and then race with another thread that increased the tree depth before us, we'll still have a preallocated node that might be used later. If we then use that node for a new non-root node, it'll still have a pointer to the old root instead of being zeroed - fix this by zeroing it in the cmpxchg failure path.
CVE-2024-46858 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 6 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2024-11-05 | 7.0 High |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: pm: Fix uaf in __timer_delete_sync There are two paths to access mptcp_pm_del_add_timer, result in a race condition: CPU1 CPU2 ==== ==== net_rx_action napi_poll netlink_sendmsg __napi_poll netlink_unicast process_backlog netlink_unicast_kernel __netif_receive_skb genl_rcv __netif_receive_skb_one_core netlink_rcv_skb NF_HOOK genl_rcv_msg ip_local_deliver_finish genl_family_rcv_msg ip_protocol_deliver_rcu genl_family_rcv_msg_doit tcp_v4_rcv mptcp_pm_nl_flush_addrs_doit tcp_v4_do_rcv mptcp_nl_remove_addrs_list tcp_rcv_established mptcp_pm_remove_addrs_and_subflows tcp_data_queue remove_anno_list_by_saddr mptcp_incoming_options mptcp_pm_del_add_timer mptcp_pm_del_add_timer kfree(entry) In remove_anno_list_by_saddr(running on CPU2), after leaving the critical zone protected by "pm.lock", the entry will be released, which leads to the occurrence of uaf in the mptcp_pm_del_add_timer(running on CPU1). Keeping a reference to add_timer inside the lock, and calling sk_stop_timer_sync() with this reference, instead of "entry->add_timer". Move list_del(&entry->list) to mptcp_pm_del_add_timer and inside the pm lock, do not directly access any members of the entry outside the pm lock, which can avoid similar "entry->x" uaf.
CVE-2024-46826 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-05 | 5.5 Medium |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ELF: fix kernel.randomize_va_space double read ELF loader uses "randomize_va_space" twice. It is sysctl and can change at any moment, so 2 loads could see 2 different values in theory with unpredictable consequences. Issue exactly one load for consistent value across one exec. |
