In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: stm class: Fix a double free in stm_register_device() The put_device(&stm->dev) call will trigger stm_device_release() which frees "stm" so the vfree(stm) on the next line is a double free.
CVE-2024-28102 | 1 Redhat | 2 Ansible Automation Platform, Enterprise Linux | 2024-09-09 | 6.8 Medium |
JWCrypto implements JWK, JWS, and JWE specifications using python-cryptography. Prior to version 1.5.6, an attacker can cause a denial of service attack by passing in a malicious JWE Token with a high compression ratio. When the server processes this token, it will consume a lot of memory and processing time. Version 1.5.6 fixes this vulnerability by limiting the maximum token length.
CVE-2024-8088 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-09-07 | 5.3 Medium |
There is a HIGH severity vulnerability affecting the CPython "zipfile" module affecting "zipfile.Path". Note that the more common API "zipfile.ZipFile" class is unaffected. When iterating over names of entries in a zip archive (for example, methods of "zipfile.Path" like "namelist()", "iterdir()", etc) the process can be put into an infinite loop with a maliciously crafted zip archive. This defect applies when reading only metadata or extracting the contents of the zip archive. Programs that are not handling user-controlled zip archives are not affected.
CVE-2024-6923 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-09-07 | 5.5 Medium |

CVE-2024-8383 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 7 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-09-06 | 7.5 High |
Firefox normally asks for confirmation before asking the operating system to find an application to handle a scheme that the browser does not support. It did not ask before doing so for the Usenet-related schemes news: and snews:. Since most operating systems don't have a trusted newsreader installed by default, an unscrupulous program that the user downloaded could register itself as a handler. The website that served the application download could then launch that application at will. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 130, Firefox ESR < 128.2, and Firefox ESR < 115.15.
CVE-2021-35560 | 3 Netapp, Oracle, Redhat | 8 E-series Santricity Os Controller, E-series Santricity Storage Manager, E-series Santricity Web Services and 5 more | 2024-09-06 | 7.5 High |
Vulnerability in the Java SE product of Oracle Java SE (component: Deployment). The supported version that is affected is Java SE: 8u301. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Java SE. Note: This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. This vulnerability does not apply to Java deployments, typically in servers, that load and run only trusted code (e.g., code installed by an administrator). CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.5 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).

Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 129, Firefox ESR 128.1, and Thunderbird 128.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 130, Firefox ESR < 128.2, and Thunderbird < 128.2.
CVE-2024-8386 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-09-06 | 6.1 Medium |
If a site had been granted the permission to open popup windows, it could cause Select elements to appear on top of another site to perform a spoofing attack. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 130, Firefox ESR < 128.2, and Thunderbird < 128.2.
CVE-2024-8385 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-09-06 | 9.8 Critical |

CVE-2024-8384 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-09-06 | 9.8 Critical |
The JavaScript garbage collector could mis-color cross-compartment objects if OOM conditions were detected at the right point between two passes. This could have led to memory corruption. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 130, Firefox ESR < 128.2, Firefox ESR < 115.15, Thunderbird < 128.2, and Thunderbird < 115.15.
CVE-2024-8382 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-09-06 | 8.8 High |
Internal browser event interfaces were exposed to web content when privileged EventHandler listener callbacks ran for those events. Web content that tried to use those interfaces would not be able to use them with elevated privileges, but their presence would indicate certain browser features had been used, such as when a user opened the Dev Tools console. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 130, Firefox ESR < 128.2, Firefox ESR < 115.15, Thunderbird < 128.2, and Thunderbird < 115.15.

CVE-2023-46724 | 2 Redhat, Squid-cache | 6 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 3 more | 2024-09-05 | 8.6 High |
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web. Due to an Improper Validation of Specified Index bug, Squid versions 3.3.0.1 through 5.9 and 6.0 prior to 6.4 compiled using `--with-openssl` are vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack against SSL Certificate validation. This problem allows a remote server to perform Denial of Service against Squid Proxy by initiating a TLS Handshake with a specially crafted SSL Certificate in a server certificate chain. This attack is limited to HTTPS and SSL-Bump. This bug is fixed in Squid version 6.4. In addition, patches addressing this problem for the stable releases can be found in Squid's patch archives. Those who you use a prepackaged version of Squid should refer to the package vendor for availability information on updated packages.
