CVSS v3.1 |
authentik is an open-source identity provider. Redirect URIs in the OAuth2 provider in authentik are checked by RegEx comparison.
When no Redirect URIs are configured in a provider, authentik will automatically use the first redirect_uri value received as an allowed redirect URI, without escaping characters that have a special meaning in RegEx. Similarly, the documentation did not take this into consideration either. Given a provider with the Redirect URIs set to https://foo.example.com, an attacker can register a domain fooaexample.com, and it will correctly pass validation. authentik 2024.8.5 and 2024.10.3 fix this issue. As a workaround, When configuring OAuth2 providers, make sure to escape any wildcard characters that are not intended to function as a wildcard, for example replace `.` with `\.`. |
SolarWinds Web Help Desk was found to be susceptible to an unauthenticated AjaxProxy deserialization remote code execution vulnerability that, if exploited, would allow an attacker to run commands on the host machine. This vulnerability is a patch bypass of CVE-2024-28988, which in turn is a patch bypass of CVE-2024-28986. |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: cdc-acm: Check control transfer buffer size before access
If the first fragment is shorter than struct usb_cdc_notification, we can't
calculate an expected_size. Log an error and discard the notification
instead of reading lengths from memory outside the received data, which can
lead to memory corruption when the expected_size decreases between
fragments, causing `expected_size - acm->nb_index` to wrap.
This issue has been present since the beginning of git history; however,
it only leads to memory corruption since commit ea2583529cd1
("cdc-acm: reassemble fragmented notifications").
A mitigating factor is that acm_ctrl_irq() can only execute after userspace
has opened /dev/ttyACM*; but if ModemManager is running, ModemManager will
do that automatically depending on the USB device's vendor/product IDs and
its other interfaces. |
A weakness has been identified in SourceCodester Pet Grooming Management Software 1.0. This affects an unknown function of the file /admin/print-payment.php. This manipulation of the argument sql111 causes sql injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be exploited. |
A security flaw has been discovered in SourceCodester Pet Grooming Management Software 1.0. The impacted element is an unknown function of the file /admin/inv-print.php. The manipulation of the argument ID results in sql injection. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be exploited. |
Sysax Multi Server 6.99 is vulnerable to a denial of service (DoS) condition when processing specially crafted SSH packets. |
A vulnerability was identified in Tenda AC21 16.03.08.16. The affected element is the function sub_45BB10 of the file /goform/WifiExtraSet. The manipulation of the argument wpapsk_crypto leads to buffer overflow. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. |
NVIDIA Nemo Framework contains a vulnerability where a user could cause a relative path traversal issue by arbitrary file write. A successful exploit of this vulnerability may lead to code execution and data tampering. |
A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the safe_asterisk script included with the Asterisk toolkit package. When Asterisk is started via this script (common in SysV init or FreePBX environments), it sources all .sh files located in /etc/asterisk/startup.d/ as root, without validating ownership or permissions.
Non-root users with legitimate write access to /etc/asterisk can exploit this behaviour by placing malicious scripts in the startup.d directory, which will then execute with root privileges upon service restart. |
An authenticated OS command injection vulnerability exists in various D-Link routers (tested on DIR-615H1 running firmware version 8.04) via the tools_vct.htm endpoint. The web interface fails to sanitize input passed from the ping_ipaddr parameter to the tools_vct.htm diagnostic interface, allowing attackers to inject arbitrary shell commands using backtick encapsulation. With default credentials, an attacker can exploit this blind injection vector to execute arbitrary commands. |

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
powerpc/64s/interrupt: Fix interrupt exit race with security mitigation switch
The RFI and STF security mitigation options can flip the
interrupt_exit_not_reentrant static branch condition concurrently with
the interrupt exit code which tests that branch.
Interrupt exit tests this condition to set MSR[EE|RI] for exit, then
again in the case a soft-masked interrupt is found pending, to recover
the MSR so the interrupt can be replayed before attempting to exit
again. If the condition changes between these two tests, the MSR and irq
soft-mask state will become corrupted, leading to warnings and possible
crashes. For example, if the branch is initially true then false,
MSR[EE] will be 0 but PACA_IRQ_HARD_DIS clear and EE may not get
enabled, leading to warnings in irq_64.c. |

Sometimes, it would also show up as corruption in the free list pointer
and cause crashes.
After bisecting the issue, we found the issue started from commit
e320d3012d25 ("mm/page_alloc.c: fix freeing non-compound pages"):
if (put_page_testzero(page))
free_the_page(page, order);
else if (!PageHead(page))
while (order-- > 0)
free_the_page(page + (1 << order), order);
So the problem is the check PageHead is racy because at this point we
already dropped our reference to the page. So even if we came in with
compound page, the page can already be freed and PageHead can return
false and we will end up freeing all the tail pages causing double free. |
RUCKUS Network Director (RND) before 4.5 allows jailed users to obtain root access vis a weak, hardcoded password. |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: hda: Do not unset preset when cleaning up codec
Several functions that take part in codec's initialization and removal
are re-used by ASoC codec drivers implementations. Drivers mimic the
behavior of hda_codec_driver_probe/remove() found in
sound/pci/hda/hda_bind.c with their component->probe/remove() instead.
One of the reasons for that is the expectation of
snd_hda_codec_device_new() to receive a valid pointer to an instance of
struct snd_card. This expectation can be met only once sound card
components probing commences.
As ASoC sound card may be unbound without codec device being actually
removed from the system, unsetting ->preset in
snd_hda_codec_cleanup_for_unbind() interferes with module unload -> load
scenario causing null-ptr-deref. Preset is assigned only once, during
device/driver matching whereas ASoC codec driver's module reloading may
occur several times throughout the lifetime of an audio stack. |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fbdev: Fix invalid page access after closing deferred I/O devices
When a fbdev with deferred I/O is once opened and closed, the dirty
pages still remain queued in the pageref list, and eventually later
those may be processed in the delayed work. This may lead to a
corruption of pages, hitting an Oops.
This patch makes sure to cancel the delayed work and clean up the
pageref list at closing the device for addressing the bug. A part of
the cleanup code is factored out as a new helper function that is
called from the common fb_release(). |
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mmc: sdio: fix possible resource leaks in some error paths
If sdio_add_func() or sdio_init_func() fails, sdio_remove_func() can
not release the resources, because the sdio function is not presented
in these two cases, it won't call of_node_put() or put_device().
To fix these leaks, make sdio_func_present() only control whether
device_del() needs to be called or not, then always call of_node_put()
and put_device().
In error case in sdio_init_func(), the reference of 'card->dev' is
not get, to avoid redundant put in sdio_free_func_cis(), move the
get_device() to sdio_alloc_func() and put_device() to sdio_release_func(),
it can keep the get/put function be balanced.
Without this patch, while doing fault inject test, it can get the
following leak reports, after this fix, the leak is gone.
