CVE-2020-10933 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 5 more 2024-08-04 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Ruby 2.5.x through 2.5.7, 2.6.x through 2.6.5, and 2.7.0. If a victim calls BasicSocket#read_nonblock(requested_size, buffer, exception: false), the method resizes the buffer to fit the requested size, but no data is copied. Thus, the buffer string provides the previous value of the heap. This may expose possibly sensitive data from the interpreter.
CVE-2020-10878 6 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Opensuse and 3 more 22 Fedora, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snap Creator Framework and 19 more 2024-08-04 8.6 High
Perl before 5.30.3 has an integer overflow related to mishandling of a "PL_regkind[OP(n)] == NOTHING" situation. A crafted regular expression could lead to malformed bytecode with a possibility of instruction injection.
CVE-2020-10767 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2024-08-04 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel before 5.8-rc1 in the implementation of the Enhanced IBPB (Indirect Branch Prediction Barrier). The IBPB mitigation will be disabled when STIBP is not available or when the Enhanced Indirect Branch Restricted Speculation (IBRS) is available. This flaw allows a local attacker to perform a Spectre V2 style attack when this configuration is active. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
CVE-2020-10757 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 13 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 10 more 2024-08-04 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the Linux Kernel in versions after 4.5-rc1 in the way mremap handled DAX Huge Pages. This flaw allows a local attacker with access to a DAX enabled storage to escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2020-10768 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2024-08-04 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux Kernel before 5.8-rc1 in the prctl() function, where it can be used to enable indirect branch speculation after it has been disabled. This call incorrectly reports it as being 'force disabled' when it is not and opens the system to Spectre v2 attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
CVE-2020-10766 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2024-08-04 5.5 Medium
A logic bug flaw was found in Linux kernel before 5.8-rc1 in the implementation of SSBD. A bug in the logic handling allows an attacker with a local account to disable SSBD protection during a context switch when additional speculative execution mitigations are in place. This issue was introduced when the per task/process conditional STIPB switching was added on top of the existing SSBD switching. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality.
CVE-2020-10735 3 Fedoraproject, Python, Redhat 7 Fedora, Python, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
A flaw was found in python. In algorithms with quadratic time complexity using non-binary bases, when using int("text"), a system could take 50ms to parse an int string with 100,000 digits and 5s for 1,000,000 digits (float, decimal, int.from_bytes(), and int() for binary bases 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 are not affected). The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2020-10725 5 Dpdk, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 2 more 6 Data Plane Development Kit, Fedora, Leap and 3 more 2024-08-04 7.7 High
A flaw was found in DPDK version 19.11 and above that allows a malicious guest to cause a segmentation fault of the vhost-user backend application running on the host, which could result in a loss of connectivity for the other guests running on that host. This is caused by a missing validity check of the descriptor address in the function `virtio_dev_rx_batch_packed()`.
CVE-2020-10713 5 Debian, Gnu, Opensuse and 2 more 10 Debian Linux, Grub2, Leap and 7 more 2024-08-04 8.2 High
A flaw was found in grub2, prior to version 2.06. An attacker may use the GRUB 2 flaw to hijack and tamper the GRUB verification process. This flaw also allows the bypass of Secure Boot protections. In order to load an untrusted or modified kernel, an attacker would first need to establish access to the system such as gaining physical access, obtain the ability to alter a pxe-boot network, or have remote access to a networked system with root access. With this access, an attacker could then craft a string to cause a buffer overflow by injecting a malicious payload that leads to arbitrary code execution within GRUB. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-10711 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 17 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 14 more 2024-08-04 5.9 Medium
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's SELinux subsystem in versions before 5.7. This flaw occurs while importing the Commercial IP Security Option (CIPSO) protocol's category bitmap into the SELinux extensible bitmap via the' ebitmap_netlbl_import' routine. While processing the CIPSO restricted bitmap tag in the 'cipso_v4_parsetag_rbm' routine, it sets the security attribute to indicate that the category bitmap is present, even if it has not been allocated. This issue leads to a NULL pointer dereference issue while importing the same category bitmap into SELinux. This flaw allows a remote network user to crash the system kernel, resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2020-10663 7 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 10 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 7 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
The JSON gem through 2.2.0 for Ruby, as used in Ruby 2.4 through 2.4.9, 2.5 through 2.5.7, and 2.6 through 2.6.5, has an Unsafe Object Creation Vulnerability. This is quite similar to CVE-2013-0269, but does not rely on poor garbage-collection behavior within Ruby. Specifically, use of JSON parsing methods can lead to creation of a malicious object within the interpreter, with adverse effects that are application-dependent.
CVE-2020-10543 5 Fedoraproject, Opensuse, Oracle and 2 more 20 Fedora, Leap, Communications Billing And Revenue Management and 17 more 2024-08-04 8.2 High
Perl before 5.30.3 on 32-bit platforms allows a heap-based buffer overflow because nested regular expression quantifiers have an integer overflow.
CVE-2020-10029 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 15 more 2024-08-04 5.5 Medium
The GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.32 could overflow an on-stack buffer during range reduction if an input to an 80-bit long double function contains a non-canonical bit pattern, a seen when passing a 0x5d414141414141410000 value to sinl on x86 targets. This is related to sysdeps/ieee754/ldbl-96/e_rem_pio2l.c.
CVE-2020-9490 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 28 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 25 more 2024-08-04 7.5 High
Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.20 to 2.4.43. A specially crafted value for the 'Cache-Digest' header in a HTTP/2 request would result in a crash when the server actually tries to HTTP/2 PUSH a resource afterwards. Configuring the HTTP/2 feature via "H2Push off" will mitigate this vulnerability for unpatched servers.
CVE-2020-8647 4 Debian, Linux, Opensuse and 1 more 6 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Leap and 3 more 2024-08-04 6.1 Medium
There is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel through 5.5.2 in the vc_do_resize function in drivers/tty/vt/vt.c.
