CVE-2022-34918 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 14 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 11 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.18.9. A type confusion bug in nft_set_elem_init (leading to a buffer overflow) could be used by a local attacker to escalate privileges, a different vulnerability than CVE-2022-32250. (The attacker can obtain root access, but must start with an unprivileged user namespace to obtain CAP_NET_ADMIN access.) This can be fixed in nft_setelem_parse_data in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c.
CVE-2022-32250 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 20 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 17 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c in the Linux kernel through 5.18.1 allows a local user (able to create user/net namespaces) to escalate privileges to root because an incorrect NFT_STATEFUL_EXPR check leads to a use-after-free.
CVE-2022-32205 | 7 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 29 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 26 more | 2024-08-03 | 4.3 Medium |
A malicious server can serve excessive amounts of `Set-Cookie:` headers in a HTTP response to curl and curl < 7.84.0 stores all of them. A sufficiently large amount of (big) cookies make subsequent HTTP requests to this, or other servers to which the cookies match, create requests that become larger than the threshold that curl uses internally to avoid sending crazy large requests (1048576 bytes) and instead returns an error. This denial state might remain for as long as the same cookies are kept, match and haven't expired. Due to cookie matching rules, a server on `foo.example.com` can set cookies that also would match for `bar.example.com`, making it it possible for a "sister server" to effectively cause a denial of service for a sibling site on the same second level domain using this method.
CVE-2022-32206 | 7 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 4 more | 35 Debian Linux, Fedora, Curl and 32 more | 2024-08-03 | 6.5 Medium |
curl < 7.84.0 supports "chained" HTTP compression algorithms, meaning that a serverresponse can be compressed multiple times and potentially with different algorithms. The number of acceptable "links" in this "decompression chain" was unbounded, allowing a malicious server to insert a virtually unlimited number of compression steps. The use of such a decompression chain could result in a "malloc bomb", makingcurl end up spending enormous amounts of allocated heap memory, or trying toand returning out of memory errors.
CVE-2022-32207 | 7 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 21 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 18 more | 2024-08-03 | 9.8 Critical |
When curl < 7.84.0 saves cookies, alt-svc and hsts data to local files, it makes the operation atomic by finalizing the operation with a rename from a temporary name to the final target file name.In that rename operation, it might accidentally *widen* the permissions for the target file, leaving the updated file accessible to more users than intended.
CVE-2022-32221 | 6 Apple, Debian, Haxx and 3 more | 16 Macos, Debian Linux, Curl and 13 more | 2024-08-03 | 9.8 Critical |
When doing HTTP(S) transfers, libcurl might erroneously use the read callback (`CURLOPT_READFUNCTION`) to ask for data to send, even when the `CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS` option has been set, if the same handle previously was used to issue a `PUT` request which used that callback. This flaw may surprise the application and cause it to misbehave and either send off the wrong data or use memory after free or similar in the subsequent `POST` request. The problem exists in the logic for a reused handle when it is changed from a PUT to a POST.
CVE-2022-32208 | 7 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 21 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 18 more | 2024-08-03 | 5.9 Medium |
When curl < 7.84.0 does FTP transfers secured by krb5, it handles message verification failures wrongly. This flaw makes it possible for a Man-In-The-Middle attack to go unnoticed and even allows it to inject data to the client.
CVE-2022-31160 | 5 Debian, Drupal, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 15 Debian Linux, Jquery Ui Checkboxradio, Fedora and 12 more | 2024-08-03 | 6.1 Medium |
jQuery UI is a curated set of user interface interactions, effects, widgets, and themes built on top of jQuery. Versions prior to 1.13.2 are potentially vulnerable to cross-site scripting. Initializing a checkboxradio widget on an input enclosed within a label makes that parent label contents considered as the input label. Calling `.checkboxradio( "refresh" )` on such a widget and the initial HTML contained encoded HTML entities will make them erroneously get decoded. This can lead to potentially executing JavaScript code. The bug has been patched in jQuery UI 1.13.2. To remediate the issue, someone who can change the initial HTML can wrap all the non-input contents of the `label` in a `span`.
CVE-2022-30594 | 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 24 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, 8300 and 21 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
The Linux kernel before 5.17.2 mishandles seccomp permissions. The PTRACE_SEIZE code path allows attackers to bypass intended restrictions on setting the PT_SUSPEND_SECCOMP flag.
CVE-2022-30115 | 3 Haxx, Netapp, Splunk | 15 Curl, Clustered Data Ontap, H300s and 12 more | 2024-08-03 | 4.3 Medium |
Using its HSTS support, curl can be instructed to use HTTPS directly insteadof using an insecure clear-text HTTP step even when HTTP is provided in theURL. This mechanism could be bypassed if the host name in the given URL used atrailing dot while not using one when it built the HSTS cache. Or the otherway around - by having the trailing dot in the HSTS cache and *not* using thetrailing dot in the URL.
CVE-2022-29968 | 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp | 13 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300s and 10 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.17.5. io_rw_init_file in fs/io_uring.c lacks initialization of kiocb->private.
CVE-2022-29824 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more | 26 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 23 more | 2024-08-03 | 6.5 Medium |
In libxml2 before 2.9.14, several buffer handling functions in buf.c (xmlBuf*) and tree.c (xmlBuffer*) don't check for integer overflows. This can result in out-of-bounds memory writes. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted, multi-gigabyte XML file. Other software using libxml2's buffer functions, for example libxslt through 1.1.35, is affected as well.
CVE-2022-29581 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 22 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 19 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
Improper Update of Reference Count vulnerability in net/sched of Linux Kernel allows local attacker to cause privilege escalation to root. This issue affects: Linux Kernel versions prior to 5.18; version 4.14 and later versions.
CVE-2022-29155 | 3 Debian, Netapp, Openldap | 14 Debian Linux, H300s, H300s Firmware and 11 more | 2024-08-03 | 9.8 Critical |
In OpenLDAP 2.x before 2.5.12 and 2.6.x before 2.6.2, a SQL injection vulnerability exists in the experimental back-sql backend to slapd, via a SQL statement within an LDAP query. This can occur during an LDAP search operation when the search filter is processed, due to a lack of proper escaping.
CVE-2022-29156 | 2 Linux, Netapp | 17 Linux Kernel, H300e, H300e Firmware and 14 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
drivers/infiniband/ulp/rtrs/rtrs-clt.c in the Linux kernel before 5.16.12 has a double free related to rtrs_clt_dev_release.
CVE-2022-28893 | 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 25 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, H300e and 22 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.8 High |
The SUNRPC subsystem in the Linux kernel through 5.17.2 can call xs_xprt_free before ensuring that sockets are in the intended state.
CVE-2022-28796 | 4 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 24 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Active Iq Unified Manager and 21 more | 2024-08-03 | 7.0 High |
jbd2_journal_wait_updates in fs/jbd2/transaction.c in the Linux kernel before 5.17.1 has a use-after-free caused by a transaction_t race condition.
CVE-2022-28389 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 19 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 16 more | 2024-08-03 | 5.5 Medium |
mcba_usb_start_xmit in drivers/net/can/usb/mcba_usb.c in the Linux kernel through 5.17.1 has a double free.
CVE-2022-28388 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 22 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 19 more | 2024-08-03 | 5.5 Medium |
usb_8dev_start_xmit in drivers/net/can/usb/usb_8dev.c in the Linux kernel through 5.17.1 has a double free.
CVE-2022-27779 | 3 Haxx, Netapp, Splunk | 15 Curl, Clustered Data Ontap, H300s and 12 more | 2024-08-03 | 5.3 Medium |
libcurl wrongly allows cookies to be set for Top Level Domains (TLDs) if thehost name is provided with a trailing dot.curl can be told to receive and send cookies. curl's "cookie engine" can bebuilt with or without [Public Suffix List](https://publicsuffix.org/)awareness. If PSL support not provided, a more rudimentary check exists to atleast prevent cookies from being set on TLDs. This check was broken if thehost name in the URL uses a trailing dot. This can allow arbitrary sites to set cookies that then would get sent to adifferent and unrelated site or domain. |
