CVE-2023-25730 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.4 Medium |
A background script invoking <code>requestFullscreen</code> and then blocking the main thread could force the browser into fullscreen mode indefinitely, resulting in potential user confusion or spoofing attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 110, Thunderbird < 102.8, and Firefox ESR < 102.8.
CVE-2023-25729 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
Permission prompts for opening external schemes were only shown for <code>ContentPrincipals</code> resulting in extensions being able to open them without user interaction via <code>ExpandedPrincipals</code>. This could lead to further malicious actions such as downloading files or interacting with software already installed on the system. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 110, Thunderbird < 102.8, and Firefox ESR < 102.8.
CVE-2023-25728 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
The <code>Content-Security-Policy-Report-Only</code> header could allow an attacker to leak a child iframe's unredacted URI when interaction with that iframe triggers a redirect. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 110, Thunderbird < 102.8, and Firefox ESR < 102.8.
CVE-2023-25690 | 2 Apache, Redhat | 8 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 9.8 Critical |
Some mod_proxy configurations on Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.55 allow a HTTP Request Smuggling attack. Configurations are affected when mod_proxy is enabled along with some form of RewriteRule or ProxyPassMatch in which a non-specific pattern matches some portion of the user-supplied request-target (URL) data and is then re-inserted into the proxied request-target using variable substitution. For example, something like: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule "^/here/(.*)" "http://example.com:8080/elsewhere?$1"; [P] ProxyPassReverse /here/ http://example.com:8080/ Request splitting/smuggling could result in bypass of access controls in the proxy server, proxying unintended URLs to existing origin servers, and cache poisoning. Users are recommended to update to at least version 2.4.56 of Apache HTTP Server.
CVE-2023-25652 | 3 Fedoraproject, Git-scm, Redhat | 7 Fedora, Git, Enterprise Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
Git is a revision control system. Prior to versions 2.30.9, 2.31.8, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, 2.34.8, 2.35.8, 2.36.6, 2.37.7, 2.38.5, 2.39.3, and 2.40.1, by feeding specially crafted input to `git apply --reject`, a path outside the working tree can be overwritten with partially controlled contents (corresponding to the rejected hunk(s) from the given patch). A fix is available in versions 2.30.9, 2.31.8, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, 2.34.8, 2.35.8, 2.36.6, 2.37.7, 2.38.5, 2.39.3, and 2.40.1. As a workaround, avoid using `git apply` with `--reject` when applying patches from an untrusted source. Use `git apply --stat` to inspect a patch before applying; avoid applying one that create a conflict where a link corresponding to the `*.rej` file exists.
CVE-2023-25193 | 3 Fedoraproject, Harfbuzz Project, Redhat | 8 Fedora, Harfbuzz, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
hb-ot-layout-gsubgpos.hh in HarfBuzz through 6.0.0 allows attackers to trigger O(n^2) growth via consecutive marks during the process of looking back for base glyphs when attaching marks.
CVE-2023-24805 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linuxfoundation and 1 more | 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Cups-filters and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
cups-filters contains backends, filters, and other software required to get the cups printing service working on operating systems other than macos. If you use the Backend Error Handler (beh) to create an accessible network printer, this security vulnerability can cause remote code execution. `beh.c` contains the line `retval = system(cmdline) >> 8;` which calls the `system` command with the operand `cmdline`. `cmdline` contains multiple user controlled, unsanitized values. As a result an attacker with network access to the hosted print server can exploit this vulnerability to inject system commands which are executed in the context of the running server. This issue has been addressed in commit `8f2740357` and is expected to be bundled in the next release. Users are advised to upgrade when possible and to restrict access to network printers in the meantime.
CVE-2023-24329 | 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python and 1 more | 14 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Management Services For Element Software and 11 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
An issue in the urllib.parse component of Python before 3.11.4 allows attackers to bypass blocklisting methods by supplying a URL that starts with blank characters.
CVE-2023-23916 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 3 more | 19 Debian Linux, Fedora, Curl and 16 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
An allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability exists in curl <v7.88.0 based on the "chained" HTTP compression algorithms, meaning that a server response can be compressed multiple times and potentially with differentalgorithms. The number of acceptable "links" in this "decompression chain" wascapped, but the cap was implemented on a per-header basis allowing a maliciousserver to insert a virtually unlimited number of compression steps simply byusing many headers. The use of such a decompression chain could result in a "malloc bomb", making curl end up spending enormous amounts of allocated heap memory, or trying to and returning out of memory errors.
CVE-2023-23605 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.8 High |
Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 108 and Firefox ESR 102.6. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 109, Thunderbird < 102.7, and Firefox ESR < 102.7.
CVE-2023-23603 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
Regular expressions used to filter out forbidden properties and values from style directives in calls to <code>console.log</code> weren't accounting for external URLs. Data could then be potentially exfiltrated from the browser. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 109, Thunderbird < 102.7, and Firefox ESR < 102.7.
CVE-2023-23602 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
A mishandled security check when creating a WebSocket in a WebWorker caused the Content Security Policy connect-src header to be ignored. This could lead to connections to restricted origins from inside WebWorkers. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 109, Thunderbird < 102.7, and Firefox ESR < 102.7.
CVE-2023-23601 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
Navigations were being allowed when dragging a URL from a cross-origin iframe into the same tab which could lead to website spoofing attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 109, Thunderbird < 102.7, and Firefox ESR < 102.7.
CVE-2023-23599 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
When copying a network request from the developer tools panel as a curl command the output was not being properly sanitized and could allow arbitrary commands to be hidden within. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 109, Thunderbird < 102.7, and Firefox ESR < 102.7.
CVE-2023-23598 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 8 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
Due to the Firefox GTK wrapper code's use of text/plain for drag data and GTK treating all text/plain MIMEs containing file URLs as being dragged a website could arbitrarily read a file via a call to <code>DataTransfer.setData</code>. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 109, Thunderbird < 102.7, and Firefox ESR < 102.7.
CVE-2023-22809 | 5 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 11 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
In Sudo before 1.9.12p2, the sudoedit (aka -e) feature mishandles extra arguments passed in the user-provided environment variables (SUDO_EDITOR, VISUAL, and EDITOR), allowing a local attacker to append arbitrary entries to the list of files to process. This can lead to privilege escalation. Affected versions are 1.8.0 through 1.9.12.p1. The problem exists because a user-specified editor may contain a "--" argument that defeats a protection mechanism, e.g., an EDITOR='vim -- /path/to/extra/file' value.
CVE-2023-22745 | 2 Redhat, Tpm2 Software Stack Project | 6 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.4 Medium |
tpm2-tss is an open source software implementation of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2 Software Stack (TSS2). In affected versions `Tss2_RC_SetHandler` and `Tss2_RC_Decode` both index into `layer_handler` with an 8 bit layer number, but the array only has `TPM2_ERROR_TSS2_RC_LAYER_COUNT` entries, so trying to add a handler for higher-numbered layers or decode a response code with such a layer number reads/writes past the end of the buffer. This Buffer overrun, could result in arbitrary code execution. An example attack would be a MiTM bus attack that returns 0xFFFFFFFF for the RC. Given the common use case of TPM modules an attacker must have local access to the target machine with local system privileges which allows access to the TPM system. Usually TPM access requires administrative privilege.
