CVE-2017-11176 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 6 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
The mq_notify function in the Linux kernel through 4.11.9 does not set the sock pointer to NULL upon entry into the retry logic. During a user-space close of a Netlink socket, it allows attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free) or possibly have unspecified other impact.
CVE-2017-1000379 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 9 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
The Linux Kernel running on AMD64 systems will sometimes map the contents of PIE executable, the heap or ld.so to where the stack is mapped allowing attackers to more easily manipulate the stack. Linux Kernel version 4.11.5 is affected.
CVE-2017-1000368 | 2 Redhat, Sudo Project | 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els, Sudo | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Todd Miller's sudo version 1.8.20p1 and earlier is vulnerable to an input validation (embedded newlines) in the get_process_ttyname() function resulting in information disclosure and command execution.
CVE-2017-1000367 | 2 Redhat, Sudo Project | 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els, Sudo | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Todd Miller's sudo version 1.8.20 and earlier is vulnerable to an input validation (embedded spaces) in the get_process_ttyname() function resulting in information disclosure and command execution.
CVE-2017-1000366 | 8 Debian, Gnu, Mcafee and 5 more | 26 Debian Linux, Glibc, Web Gateway and 23 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
glibc contains a vulnerability that allows specially crafted LD_LIBRARY_PATH values to manipulate the heap/stack, causing them to alias, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution. Please note that additional hardening changes have been made to glibc to prevent manipulation of stack and heap memory but these issues are not directly exploitable, as such they have not been given a CVE. This affects glibc 2.25 and earlier.
CVE-2017-1000364 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 10 Linux Kernel, Container Development Kit, Enterprise Linux and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
An issue was discovered in the size of the stack guard page on Linux, specifically a 4k stack guard page is not sufficiently large and can be "jumped" over (the stack guard page is bypassed), this affects Linux Kernel versions 4.11.5 and earlier (the stackguard page was introduced in 2010).
CVE-2017-1000253 | 3 Centos, Linux, Redhat | 8 Centos, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
Linux distributions that have not patched their long-term kernels with https://git.kernel.org/linus/a87938b2e246b81b4fb713edb371a9fa3c5c3c86 (committed on April 14, 2015). This kernel vulnerability was fixed in April 2015 by commit a87938b2e246b81b4fb713edb371a9fa3c5c3c86 (backported to Linux 3.10.77 in May 2015), but it was not recognized as a security threat. With CONFIG_ARCH_BINFMT_ELF_RANDOMIZE_PIE enabled, and a normal top-down address allocation strategy, load_elf_binary() will attempt to map a PIE binary into an address range immediately below mm->mmap_base. Unfortunately, load_elf_ binary() does not take account of the need to allocate sufficient space for the entire binary which means that, while the first PT_LOAD segment is mapped below mm->mmap_base, the subsequent PT_LOAD segment(s) end up being mapped above mm->mmap_base into the are that is supposed to be the "gap" between the stack and the binary.
CVE-2017-1000112 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 8 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
Linux kernel: Exploitable memory corruption due to UFO to non-UFO path switch. When building a UFO packet with MSG_MORE __ip_append_data() calls ip_ufo_append_data() to append. However in between two send() calls, the append path can be switched from UFO to non-UFO one, which leads to a memory corruption. In case UFO packet lengths exceeds MTU, copy = maxfraglen - skb->len becomes negative on the non-UFO path and the branch to allocate new skb is taken. This triggers fragmentation and computation of fraggap = skb_prev->len - maxfraglen. Fraggap can exceed MTU, causing copy = datalen - transhdrlen - fraggap to become negative. Subsequently skb_copy_and_csum_bits() writes out-of-bounds. A similar issue is present in IPv6 code. The bug was introduced in e89e9cf539a2 ("[IPv4/IPv6]: UFO Scatter-gather approach") on Oct 18 2005.
CVE-2016-2118 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 High |
The MS-SAMR and MS-LSAD protocol implementations in Samba 3.x and 4.x before 4.2.11, 4.3.x before 4.3.8, and 4.4.x before 4.4.2 mishandle DCERPC connections, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to perform protocol-downgrade attacks and impersonate users by modifying the client-server data stream, aka "BADLOCK."
CVE-2016-2111 | 3 Canonical, Redhat, Samba | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
The NETLOGON service in Samba 3.x and 4.x before 4.2.11, 4.3.x before 4.3.8, and 4.4.x before 4.4.2, when a domain controller is configured, allows remote attackers to spoof the computer name of a secure channel's endpoint, and obtain sensitive session information, by running a crafted application and leveraging the ability to sniff network traffic, a related issue to CVE-2015-0005.
CVE-2016-2110 | 3 Canonical, Redhat, Samba | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
The NTLMSSP authentication implementation in Samba 3.x and 4.x before 4.2.11, 4.3.x before 4.3.8, and 4.4.x before 4.4.2 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to perform protocol-downgrade attacks by modifying the client-server data stream to remove application-layer flags or encryption settings, as demonstrated by clearing the NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE_SEAL or NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE_SIGN option to disrupt LDAP security.
CVE-2016-0800 | 3 Openssl, Pulsesecure, Redhat | 11 Openssl, Client, Steel Belted Radius and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
The SSLv2 protocol, as used in OpenSSL before 1.0.1s and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2g and other products, requires a server to send a ServerVerify message before establishing that a client possesses certain plaintext RSA data, which makes it easier for remote attackers to decrypt TLS ciphertext data by leveraging a Bleichenbacher RSA padding oracle, aka a "DROWN" attack.
CVE-2016-0704 | 2 Openssl, Redhat | 6 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |

CVE-2015-3197 | 3 Openssl, Oracle, Redhat | 13 Openssl, Exalogic Infrastructure, Oss Support Tools and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
ssl/s2_srvr.c in OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1r and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2f does not prevent use of disabled ciphers, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to defeat cryptographic protection mechanisms by performing computations on SSLv2 traffic, related to the get_client_master_key and get_client_hello functions.
CVE-2015-0293 | 2 Openssl, Redhat | 8 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
The SSLv2 implementation in OpenSSL before 0.9.8zf, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0r, 1.0.1 before 1.0.1m, and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2a allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (s2_lib.c assertion failure and daemon exit) via a crafted CLIENT-MASTER-KEY message.
CVE-2015-0235 | 7 Apple, Debian, Gnu and 4 more | 22 Mac Os X, Debian Linux, Glibc and 19 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
Heap-based buffer overflow in the __nss_hostname_digits_dots function in glibc 2.2, and other 2.x versions before 2.18, allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors related to the (1) gethostbyname or (2) gethostbyname2 function, aka "GHOST."
CVE-2014-9322 | 6 Canonical, Google, Linux and 3 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Android, Linux Kernel and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 High |
arch/x86/kernel/entry_64.S in the Linux kernel before 3.17.5 does not properly handle faults associated with the Stack Segment (SS) segment register, which allows local users to gain privileges by triggering an IRET instruction that leads to access to a GS Base address from the wrong space.
